The task of caring for someone with dementia can be difficult and, at times, overwhelming. Sometimes it helps just to know that someone else is going through the same thing and understands what you're going through. Share your stories, helpful websites, news reports and anything else that you think might help friends and family members of those with Dementia. Dementia is progressive decline in cognitive function due to damage or disease in the brain beyond what might be expected from normal aging. Diseases that cause dementia include Alzheimers, Picks, Multi-infarct dementia (vascular dementia), Frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD), and Dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB).
